Hey Everyone,
Did you know that in 1975, Kodak invented digital photography? But since they were so busy and prosperous with film photography, they shelved the project and ultimately sold it to someone else. After all, they had already had 148,000 employees and had a very successful business with standard cameras and film sales. Today, Kodak only has 7,000 employees and has just filed for bankrupcy. They "missed the wave" that was happening in camera technology because they were complacent with their own technology.
Years ago, a church that several of us were a part of did one of the early 40 Days of Purpose campaigns. Since then over 30,000 churches from around the world and in over 65 denomimations have done the 40 Days of Purpose campaign. This Sunday, in a sermon entitled "How to Build Your Life on the Bible", we will preview the new 40 Days in the Word campaign. Already over 6,000 churches have signed up for this new campaign that focuses on how to get the most out of reading the Bible devotionally. Please don't become complacent (like Kodak) and simply rejoice in the wonderful things God has done in the past! Catch this next "wave" that is sweeping the country right now and experience a new level of Spiritual Growth. I want to encourage all of you to not only be part of this exciting new spiritual growth campaign, but to also invite two of your friends to be a part of it as well. Come this Sunday at 10:00am and find out what this "new wave" is all about.
Also, if you have never taken "401 - Discovering My Mission", we are offering it on Sunday afternoon from 1pm until 5pm with pizza included!

Come along on a journey of 40 Days in the Word, a journey of eternal significance as you and your church will learn how to be not only a “hearer” of the Word, but also a “doer” of God’s Word.
40 Days in the Word is a church wide weekly study of six principles of the Word of God. We will join Pastor Rick Warren and Saddleback church and great pastors from across the countr to explore the authenticity, reliability, power, comfort, interpretation and doing of God’s Word. This eight week journey, will encourage spiritual growth in everyone.
